Let me introduce myself: I live in Drachten and was born in the picturesque Langezwaag, Friesland. In my younger years, I started messing around with cassette tapes, recording music without the chatter of a DJ. Later, I became a disc jockey, and back then, we could mix records ourselves. I experimented with blending two records, usually a 12-inch, and later discovered the Revox, bouncing back and forth between tracks. Those were the days, full of tape hiss and editing sounds. It wasn’t as advanced as today’s tech, but there was a certain charm. After a twenty-year break, I got back into it with Mixmeister Studio, making a few mixes, but life got in the way. A few years later, I bought an old MacBook, but the outdated software couldn’t run on newer systems or an iPad. But there’s hope! The iPad app for DJ Studio is likely on its way, so maybe I’ll soon be able to get back to mixing music in a more modern way.Drachten Friesland
