Mixtape 47 Touched by the Blues

The first song on this mix comes from one of the best live albums ever released: Dee Dee Bridgewater Live in Paris. It's up there with Ellington At Newport, Allman Brothers At Fillmore East (represented in this mix, too), and Cheap Trick at Budokan. I was prompted to throw this particular tune on a mix because @Getthis22 played a song from the album a couple of weeks ago (confirming my estimation of him being a true man of taste!). And so I thought I would do a blues-tinged mix and end this streak of relatively popular mixes I've been having lately. :-) What follows includes a sampling from the 'usual suspects', alongside tunes that straddle or even cross the lines between Blues and: Jazz, Swing, Rhythm & Blues, Soul, and Rock 'n' Roll.
