Mixtape 49 The Kids Call it Afro House

The Copyright mix of 'La Mezcla' is a hit around the G household. Every time it pops up on the iPod Classic, it gets at least 3 or 4 repeat plays, no matter who is listening. After hanging around on Mixcloud for a bit, I was delighted to discover that there is a whole sub-genre of house music that plays songs with a similar build and feel to them. I was also delighted to discover that there are dozens of remixes of 'La Mezcla' hanging about, too. I've wanted to put together a long playlist of similar songs: strong organic danceable beats built upon Latin American, Middle Eastern, or Andalucian influences and/or samples. And then I thought 'Hey, maybe I should make a mix and share it!'
