The DJ.Studio × Electric Takeover returns for 2026. Ten winners get featured on Electric during Takeover Week this August. Here is what each winner receives:

A one-year CORE residency on the station
Promotion across Electric and DJ.Studio channels
Create your mix in DJ.Studio and submit it before July 24th 12:00 BST. Open to DJs aged 18 or over, worldwide. One entry per DJ.
Entries must be suitable for broadcast. Entrants are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use any tracks, samples, edits or other audio material included in their mix.
Why enter
Last year it changed a DJ's whole year.
“The DJ.Studio x Electric contest was much more than a competition for me. It was a real creative trigger. It helped me reconnect with music in a very active and meaningful way. Winning gave me a lot of confidence and pushed me to take DJing and production more seriously.
I would encourage any DJ to take part: it is a chance to challenge yourself, finish a serious mix, learn more about your own sound, and reach people you would never have reached otherwise.”

How to enter
Once you have DJ.Studio installed, entering takes three steps.
Build your mix in DJ.Studio
Build your mix in DJ.Studio with your favorite tracks, transitions with EQ automations, stems and samples.
Go to Export → Submit for Contest → DJ.Studio x Electric Takeover
Your entry is submitted straight through the DJ.Studio Contest workflow. You do not need to export a separate MP3.
Add your details and submit before the deadline
Enter your name, email and country, accept the Terms & Conditions, and you are in the running. Entries close Fri 24 July, 12:00 BST.
No paid DJ.Studio licence?
No problem. Download the app, create an account, then open the chat bubble inside DJ.Studio and mention that you want to join the Electric contest. Our team will help you get access so you can take part.

The brief gives room for personality, but it still needs to work for Electric. We will be listening for musical direction, flow, technical control and a clear fit for the schedule.

Pull tracks from your local library, DJ library, Apple Music, Beatport previews or a Spotify playlist. Collect your ideas into a project before deciding what makes the final mix.
Build the mix on a visual timeline
Place tracks in order, trim sections and see your whole two-hour set as one continuous structure before you ever touch the decks.
Perfect the transitions
Open the Transition Editor to shape every blend. Use Harmonic Mixing, AutoMix, Stems, effects and key and BPM tools to make each transition sound pro.
Submit through the Contest workflow
When your mix is ready, send it straight to the contest via Export → Submit for Contest.
