Win lifetime DJ.Studio updates — enter the 3 Years In The Mix contest

DJ.Studio's 3rd birthday

DJ.Studio Turns 3!

Three years of building. Here's the story.

Siebrand Dijkstra, CEO of DJ.Studio

“I wanted to make DJ mixes but I’m not a professional DJ.

I didn’t want to perform live, but I wanted to share my favorite tracks in a mix and I wanted them to sound good.

So that’s why we started building DJ.Studio.”

Siebrand Dijkstra · CEO, DJ.Studio

Our birthday gift to you

Skip the Cake. We brought Scratch.

To say thank you for the ride so far, we want to give you something.
Scratch is here, and it's yours.

The DJ.Studio scratch editor

Scratch is the new module we've been building inside DJ.Studio Next. Lay scratch effects over your mixes, or build your own scratches in the scratch editor.

For our 3rd birthday, every active DJ.Studio license can claim it at no cost.

How to activate

  1. Open DJ.Studio Next any time in the next two weeks
  2. Scratch shows up automatically on your account
  3. See how scratching works via the video or read the manual.

Activate your Scratching module before May 20 end of day.

From two people and a prototype

Three years ago DJ.Studio was a handful of beta users and a big idea. Today it's a team, a product shipping weekly, and tens of thousands of you making mixes with it.
We raise a thumb to you.

The DJ.Studio team celebrating 3 years

Our story in short

From a broken hobby to thousands of mixes a week.

2022

The spark

When the new Apple M1 came out, MixMeister stopped working — so our CEO lost his hobby. He set out on a mission to build a new DJ tool, just so he could keep making mixes for fun.

2022

DJ.Studio came to life

That’s when we started to rethink how DJs create mixes and DJ.Studio came to life as a tool to combine tracks into a DJ mix.

2023

Public beta at IMS Ibiza

We launched DJ.Studio 1.0 in beta on stage — visitors were so excited about what we showed them that they wanted to try it out themselves.

2023 — 2026

On the road

We travelled the world to meet you, show what we built for DJs, and gather more input — Ibiza, London, Atlantic City, and of course ADE in Amsterdam, our home city.

2026

Three years in

Tens of thousands of you are mixing with it every week. We’ve shipped a brand-new audio engine, next-gen stem separation, a rebuilt beat grid editor, voice-over recording, and way more than we can fit on one page.

2023 — 2026

Thanks to you

None of it would have happened without you telling us what you wanted, what was broken, and what you wanted to work differently.

Backed by the industry

We have been very fortunate to have collaborated with some of the biggest brands in the music industry.
