• Download and Open DJ.Studio, and make sure you activate the Stem Separation Expansion. 

• Import the track you want to extract vocals from by dragging and dropping it into the DJ.Studio interface or using the file import option.

Step 2: Create a Project, or Use the Library. #

• From inside the library, you can just right-click a track, and you will see the "Stems 4 Ableton" option. Click this to create a pack of stems (drums, bass, melody, vocals). 

• Alternatively, for more control, create a new Local File project, and import tracks that you want to slice up. 

Step 3: Extract the Vocals#

• Open the Studio timeline editor view, and right-click the track you want to create an acappella from. You will now see the options for 

  • Save as Acapella

  • Save as Instrumental

  • Split Acapella and Instrumental. 

• Select the option that suits your needs. (You will be prompted to install any extensions that you are missing). 

Step 4: Save and Export Your Acapella#

• Wait for the process to complete, and you will now see the created files in your sample browser. You can use these anywhere else in DJ.Studio. 

• If you want to use these acapellas in other software, simply click the 3-dots icon next to the sample, adjust the settings, and click 'Save As New' to save the file to your hard drive.
